The team at Clayton Classics were thrilled to take part in this weekend’s Classics at the Spa event in Leamington Spa, offering free classic car inspections for exhibitors and a number of visitors.
A huge thanks to the Leamington Spa Rotary Club for organising such a great event to celebrate classic cars on Sunday 16 June. The goal of the event was to raise money for two charities: Warwickshire Search and Rescue and Ourjay, a Rugby-based charity that raises money for defibrillators in public places.
STags, jags and many more
The annual event is always a highlight in the calendar – and we were pleasantly surprised to see such good weather this year, which meant there was an amazing turn out. 300 classic cars were on display, with thousands of visitors joining the event at Pump Room Gardens throughout the day.
This year, we took three of our classics out of the workshop for the show: an Austin Seven Swallow, MGB V8 and Series 1 Jaguar E-Type.
We also got the chance to look at all the classics from the other exhibitors – there were some stunning vehicles on display, including a strong showing from the Stag Owners Club and Jaguar Drivers’ Club – with commentary from Chair Bob Beecham.
We even had some four-legged enthusiasts stop by our stand to check out our restorations.
free classic car inspectionS
As part of our involvement in this year’s event, we offered the chance to book a free classic car inspection after the event, available to all exhibitors, and to the first 50 members of the public who signed up to the newsletter here, saying they heard about us from Classics at the Spa.
We loved getting to talk to so many classic car owners and enthusiasts, and we can’t wait to get a proper look at all your vehicles. We will be contacting owners in the coming weeks to get them booked in and discuss what the options might be to upgrade, restore or service their vehicle.
In the run up to the summer, we see the biggest demand for owners asking about our ready-to-install climate control systems. Many do not believe it is possible, or if it is possible, that it will be right for them and their vehicle’s history. We have extensive experience upgrading and installing bespoke air conditioning systems for many classic models from Jaguar, Mercedes, Daimler, Porsche and Austin Healey among others.
Once we see your car, we will always give you our honest opinion about how you can get the most of your vehicle, with no obligation. And while your vehicle is in with us for a classic car inspection, we would love to show to around the workshop to show you an example of the kind of work we do.
We do have some limited spaces left, so if you want to book a free inspection, sign up for our newsletter here and say you heard about us through the Classics at the Spa event, and if you are one of the first 50 people, we will be in touch with an invitation to book.
come along to our next open day
Aside from an inspection, you can always find out more at one of our Clayton Classics open days. This is a free event, and all are welcome to join us and have a look around the facility to find out more about Clayton Classics and the services we offer.
