Air Conditioning

Aston Martin DB4/5/6 Supplied in kit form or installed by our in-house experts

We offer a range of bespoke air conditioning systems built specifically for the Aston Martin DB4, DB5 or DB6 offering a variety of advantages depending on the customers requirements.

Interior Recirculating System

When we originally developed the under bonnet system we were aware that the restrictions of the original air intake and air outlets into the car did compromise performance a little and in the warmest of climates this system may be less effective because of these restrictions.

We set about designing a unit which would fit inside the car, behind the dashboard and give optimum performance by using recirculated air.

The resulting system maximises the system performance and ensure the car stays cool in the warmest of conditions.

Under Bonnet Replacement Heater System

Our bespoke air conditioning system built specifically for the Aston Martin DB4, DB5 or DB6 Coupe is designed to be fitted in place of the original demister unit, and combines an air conditioning, evaporator and heater coil within the same dimensions meaning aesthetic originality is maintained.

The compressor is engine driven and positioned on the nearside of the engine with an additional pulley fitted to the crankshaft to supply the belt drive. The condenser is mounted in front of the radiator, with an electric fan mounted in front of the condenser in order to channel cool air through both the condenser and radiator. The evaporator coil is located inside the original heater unit and the blower is upgraded to increase air flow.

The kit contains all pipework, fittings, and major air conditioning components. The kit does not currently include refrigerant or compressor mounting brackets, but these are currently in development.

Combined Twin System

The systems previously mentioned both offer different advantages and because of this we developed a combined system which enables both system to be fitted to the car.

The Under Bonnet Replacement Heater System uses a combined heater/evaporator which when both are operated can give dehumidification into the saloon helping to dry the cars interior in cold damp climates.

The Interior Recirculation System has the advantage of improved air flow and increased cooling capacity.

The Combined Twin System allows both systems to be fitted for all the advantages mentioned above.
