It was the Best of British at Caffeine & Machine on 13 April, and so we at Clayton Classics couldn’t help but take a selection of our very own classic car restorations for a busy day celebrating classics, supercars, bikes and everything in between.

Indeed, the cars at the event spanned the decades and included stunning models from the likes of Austin, Aston Martin, Morris and McLaren. We were also thrilled to be able to take some of our very own classic car restoration projects out of the workshop and put them on display, including an Austin 7 Swallow, 1962 Jaguar E Type Series 1 3.8, and an MG.

The event was organised with a rotating schedule, allowing attendees to inspect the cars on display during their allotted timeslot and also showcase their own vehicles with pride.

It was great to see the variety of vehicles on show – the team at Caffeine & Machine were regularly spotting some of the more striking or unusual models and brought them to the front as more people arrived throughout the day.

We also saw a range of interesting vehicles from the likes of Morgan and Caterham, as well as exciting cars from the rest of the world – including a souped-up VW and Fiat 500.

Another highlight was getting to speak to the wide range of visitors, and seeing how proud people were to show off their cars. We also loved getting the chance to share more about what we do at Clayton Classics, especially with those who were not as familiar with older vehicles – the models we took definitely attracted a lot of attention throughout the day!

With such nice weather, we also got the chance to share more about our air conditioning kits and how we can help owners, particularly with older models, install or upgrade a HVAC system to make their cars not only useable, but comfortable, as they get their cars ready for the summer months.

We are excited for our next Caffeine & Machine event and look forward to seeing more people sharing their cars throughout the rest of the year.
