Summer brings plenty of amazing classic car shows across the UK that provide the perfect opportunity to admire classic creations, meet up with fellow enthusiasts or simply spend the day in a relaxed and welcoming environment with family and friends.
It would be great to visit each and every classic car show, but unfortunately for most people, that’s just not logistically possible, so we have picked five fantastic events to mark in the calendar for July, August and September.
GOODWOOD FESTIVAL OF SPEED: 10-13 JULY
Motorsport takes centre stage in the parkland surrounding Goodwood House in West Sussex, and there’s also plenty for classic car lovers to enjoy including the legendary hill climb which attracts many old cars.
A family-friendly event, the four-day spectacle has a family area near the start line, and there is the chance for youngsters to meet some of their motor racing heroes, plus the opportunity to discover the future of mobility.
KIMBOLTON COUNTRY FAYRE & CLASSIC CAR SHOW: 13 JULY
Cambridgeshire is calling classic car enthusiasts and families for a fun day at Kimbolton Castle.
It is eastern England’s largest annual gathering of classic cars, plus a magnificent celebration of country pursuits, topped off with live music and attractions for youngsters.
HISTORIC VEHICLE RALLY: 20 JULY
Head to Newby Hall in North Yorkshire and be surrounded by more than 1,000 vintage and classic cars.
This is the biggest one-day car show in the north of England, with row upon row of classic cars proudly displayed for enthusiasts and families to enjoy.
SILVERSTONE FESTIVAL: 22-24 AUGUST
Fans of historic race action will be making a beeline to this iconic venue in Northamptonshire.
There are 30 hours of track action, an incredible mix of classics to enjoy, plus an abundance of other activities including huge musical acts on the main stage, a FanZone and a Foodie Fest.
goodwood revival: 12-14 august
Another chance to visit West Sussex, but this time to enjoy a celebration of iconic cars and vintage fashion.
It has a magical mix of historic motorsport, entertainment galore, flyovers, shopping, and much more besides.
