In line with National Apprentice week, our newsletter pick of the month proudly showcases the talent of our apprentice, Morgan, who has recently undertaken a full interior kit fitment on a 1973 Jaguar E Type V12. The customer, with a keen eye for aesthetics, opted for a sleek black interior finish to strikingly contrast the vehicle’s vibrant red exterior paint work.
Understanding the unique demands of Jaguars, we’ve ensured the vehicle was lined with Dynamat thermal installation prior to the interior kit being fitted. This specialist protection shields the car from heat emitted by the engine, gearbox, and exhaust – a common issue with Jaguars. It also significantly reduces sound ingress, enhancing the overall driving experience.
In addition to the interior kit, the client opted for several Clayton Classics upgrades to add some modern touches to his classic. These included; LED lighting across all dials, to ensure clear visibility during night drives, and seat upgrades to deliver optimal style and comfort. For a touch of modern functionality, we installed a USB charging port into the glove box, which allows the customer to conveniently charge his devices during drives. The vehicle also received a Triplex windscreen, a significant upgrade that enhances visibility and safety.
Lastly, we partnered with MTC Trimming for the supply and fitment of the hood. This collaboration ensured the highest quality and perfect fit, completing the meticulous restoration of this Jaguar E Type.
