Energy Consumption 10 August 2023

We’re always looking at ways to improve performance, and not just with the cars we’re working on. We have recently installed solar panels at our workshop in Coventry and are now busy tracking our energy production and consumption. We are currently generating about 50% of our energy consumption through solar, and are really seeing the benefits of this renewable energy source.  Of course, we haven’t had quite as much sun as we’d have liked so far this summer, but even on more cloudy days the generation is worthwhile. Given the raised utility prices we’re all facing, we hope the investment we have made will pay off within 5 years.  Across Clayton we’re invested in alternative technologies.. from electric E-Type conversions, to our infrared heating systems, we’re continually looking at ways we can utilise technology to find solutions to environmental and performance challenges.
